Harvard-Boston Aero Meet (first) is held in Quincy.

[9/2] [to 9/13] Organized by the Harvard Aeronautical Society, it attracts some 250,000 paid spectators to Squantum Airfield. More than one million people gather along the shoreline and on boats in Boston Harbor. Spectators include President William Howard Taft, Isabella Stewart Gardner, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Aviators include Glenn Curtis and Wilbur Wright. Events include Claude Grahame-White twice flying around Boston Light and back on September 12, 1910, and an by Dorchester resident Samuel Perkins via a string of man-carrying kites. The event is also held in 1911* and 1912.*
